Terms of Service
Last updated: December 22, 2025
1. About These Terms
By accessing and using Datadict ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the Service.
2. About the Service
Datadict is operated by an individual person (personal operator). The Service provides a platform that interfaces with DBT Cloud to enable you to interact with your data through natural language queries. Everything is hosted on Scaleway infrastructure in the European Union.
3. Your Account
You need to create an account with accurate information to use the Service. Please keep your credentials confidential - you're responsible for all activities under your account. If you notice any unauthorized access, let us know right away.
4. DBT Cloud Integration
When you connect your DBT Cloud account, you're authorizing us to access your DBT Cloud data to provide the Service to you. Here's what we promise: we will never publish or share your DBT Cloud data with anyone else. All your data stays within our secure systems, and we only use it to provide the Service to you. We take appropriate security measures to keep everything safe.
5. Using the Service Responsibly
We trust you to use the Service appropriately. Please don't use it for unlawful purposes, attempt unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with or disrupt the Service, transmit viruses or malware, try to reverse engineer the code, or use automated systems to extract data without permission.
6. Your Privacy Matters
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The key things to know: all your data stays within our systems and is never published elsewhere, we don't use cookies, our infrastructure is hosted on Scaleway servers in the EU, and we only interface with DBT Cloud to provide the Service to you.
7. Who Owns What
The Service and its content belong to the operator. Your data is yours - you retain all rights to it. You're just giving us a limited license to process it so we can provide the Service to you.
8. Service Availability
We work hard to keep the Service running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available without interruption. We may need to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and we'll give you reasonable notice when possible.
9. Ending Your Account
You can terminate your account at any time through your account settings. We may need to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for other important reasons.
10. No Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We can't guarantee it will be perfect, so we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, or data. We're doing our best, but we need this protection as a small operator.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of French courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may need to modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know via email. If you continue using the Service after changes are made, that means you accept them.
